Argentiere is a village in the heart of the Mont Blanc, in the mythical valley of Chamonix, at about 1250 meters altitude.
This hamlet will seduce you with its traditional architecture, its baroque church and its 19th century chapel, that's exceptional location at the foot of the impressive glacier of Argentiere and legendary peaks like the Aiguille Verte and the Drus.
Argentiere also extends over four kilometers upstream with the village of Le Tour, which culminates at 1450 meters altitude.
You will find the center of Argentiere several shops, with a small supermarket, a newsagent point, a cash machine, a pharmacy, two medical offices, many restaurants and some local product shops.
For holidays in nature or sports you will be close to the ski resorts, cross-country ski runs and hiking departures.

Ski Area Les Grands Montets
A ski area crowned by the Aiguille des Grands Montets (3233 m), over 2,000 meters high. It is a choice of almost endless descents at the foot of Les Drus and the Aiguille Verte, the magic of Mont Blanc.
This site in the Chamonix valley is the must and offers due to its high altitude, an incomparable quality of snow even late in the season.
The area is also equipped with snow cannons.

Balme Tour Vallorcine Ski Area
This border area offers a wide variety of tracks, some of them on Swiss territory. Vast and beautiful ski area ideal for the whole family.
Beginners and intermediate skiers will enjoy the wide runs and well groomed, the most gifted will delight in beautiful slopes Swiss side.
Sunshine popular in early and late season.
You can access this area from the village of Le Tour, or from the village of Vallorcine, 1 kilometer from the Swiss border.
Snowmaking ensures access to the village of Le Tour, even late in the season.
